Fair question. It’s admittedly a vague phrase to use. When I smell or taste blueberry, I’ll typically write “blueberry”. But when it’s not quite that, but in the neighborhood, I’ll say “blue fruit”. It’s subjective, I know, but that’s wine tasting for you.
